Digital Experiences

1. The Intersection of Video & AI
As a digital designer with a background in the social sciences and previous experience at a Copenhagen-based documentary film NGO, I have seen firsthand the friction involved in high-quality video production.
I am fascinated by Synthesia because it solves a problem I understand intimately: the difficulty of scaling video content. The opportunity to join a Unicorn team that is fundamentally changing how the world communicates, shifting from text to video, is exactly where I want to apply my energy. I thrive at the intersection of behavioral science, visual storytelling, and technical implementation.

2. Webflow Architecture & Scalability
For the last 3+ years, I have not just built websites; I have developed systems in Webflow. What I love about Webflow over other “no-code” platforms is that it's actually an “at will coding” platform. I understand that for a company scaling as fast as Synthesia, the marketing site needs to be performant, maintainable, and ready for high traffic.
- Frameworks: I build primarily using Client-First and have experimented with Lumos and Saddle. As a freelancer my goal is always to hand off a project with a clean class structure allowing clients the ability to update later on.
- At Will Code: Many of my projects include code injected from 3rd party apps like Slater app in order to get around Webflow’s native code character limitations (although they’ve been getting better on this lately!).
- CMS & Structure: I have extensive experience managing complex CMS schemas and am comfortable handling the requirements for localization and structured content.
- Ownership: As a freelancer, I am used to owning the full lifecycle. From Figma to development and from QA to publishing.
3. Front-End Logic & Performance
I see Webflow as a development platform, not just a no-code tool. My workflow integrates custom code to push boundaries where native features end.
- The Stack: I utilize JavaScript, and tools like Slater App to build custom interactions, inject code, and extend functionality.
- Technical SEO: I prioritize semantic HTML, accessibility standards, and load performance to ensure the site ranks well and converts better. I've also run and maintained Google Ads campaigns built around targeted SEO.
- Engineering Growth: While my core strength is in the front-end, I am eager to expand my technical scope into the AWS and Lambda tooling mentioned in the job description to help support internal automation and experiments. I regularly use AWS S3 bucket storage in my projects.
- Code Troubleshooting: Maybe my favorite aspect of web development is problem solving. There’s always something new to figure out and learn from.
4. Collaboration & Growth Mindset
The job description emphasizes "shipping fast" and "real ownership," which aligns perfectly with my background running a freelance business.
I understand the Marketing Website team's role in driving growth. I don't just ship tickets; I consider the user journey, the conversion goals, and the design intent. I am comfortable switching contexts between deep-dive development and high-level design collaboration, ensuring that what ships to production is pixel-perfect and highly functional.
I am ready to bring my code-first Webflow approach to the team.
