1. Why Terma?

Protecting Operations. Empowering Strategy.

Living just up the way in Aalborg, I have been incredibly impressed by Terma’s recent trajectory into the C-UAS market. Your rapid global expansion shows a company actively shaping the modern battlefield and anticipating the future needs of territorial defense. I believe this is of utmost importance for Denmark and Europe.

I am building this application because I am deeply invested in your mission to protect soldiers and critical infrastructure from UAV threats. I believe Europe must remain at the forefront of C-UAS development to undergird the next era of defense. MyDefence is building the hardware and software of the future, and I want to help communicate, analyze, and scale that mission.

2. The Hybrid Approach: Beyond Traditional Roles

Bridging the Gap Between Engineering and Geopolitics.

I keep a close eye on your careers page. I see you are currently looking for software developers, manufacturers, and a student role for political monitoring. While my background does not fit squarely into just one of those traditional boxes, they inspired me to craft this tailored unsolicited application.

Scaling a defense tech company requires individuals who can translate deeply technical concepts into strategic assets. I offer a unique, cross-functional skill set that bridges the gap between global political analysis, technical execution, and strategic communication.

To show my understanding, I built a fully functional, automated intelligence scraper tailored specifically to the C-UAS market.

3. Geopolitical Insight: Understanding the Threat Landscape

International Relations & Political Analysis.

Communication and context undergird the defense sector. Having the capability to communicate the why and the how to stakeholders in government and industry is of the utmost priority. My background in International Relations equips me to track and analyze the broader geopolitical landscape.
  • Political & Technical Writing: I possess a sharp understanding of the modern international political landscape and have worked as a technical writer, distilling highly complex technical systems into clear, authoritative text.
  • Trend Monitoring: I understand procurement politics and the shifting regulatory environments surrounding drone warfare and C-UAS deployment.
  • Strategic Context:  I can contextualize MyDefence’s products within current global conflicts, helping tailor messaging to government officials, militaries, and investors.

4. Technical Toolkit: The Digital Arsenal

Self-Taught Skills for a Digital-First World.

It is no longer enough to manually track trends; we must automate tracking so critical market movements don't fall through the cracks. Because my technical skills are entirely self-taught, I bring an agile, problem-solving mindset to everything I build.

As a live proof of concept, I built the C-UAS Intelligence Grid
  • Automated OSINT Pipeline: Engineered a Python script running via GitHub Actions that scrapes global defense feeds (including The War Zone, Defense News, and custom competitor trackers).
  • Surgical Keyword Gating: Built a backend filtering mechanism that uses customized keyword dictionaries to automatically sort raw data into distinct sectors (Marketplace, Battlefield, Policy) and six geographic regions.
  • Nimble Database Architecture: Programmed an automated, paginated 60-day rolling data-retention script to eliminate database bloat and ensure the platform remains a current radar rather than a stagnant archive.

5. Proposed Impact: How I Can Help Today

Geopolitics Meets Technology

Because of my blended background, I can plug directly into your strategic, communication, and commercial operations. Here is how I can immediately add value to MyDefence:
  • Elevate Open Source Intelligence (OSINT): Leveraging and scaling automated systems like my Intelligence Grid to track new drone regulations, competitor contract wins, and emerging geopolitical threats to keep your business development teams steps ahead.
  • Streamline Technical Communications: Acting as a high-functioning liaison between your engineering teams and commercial sales teams to translate complex capabilities into compelling visual narratives, training guides, and high-level digital assets.
  • Support Global Growth: Assisting the strategy and communications teams in localizing marketing and technical messaging as MyDefence continues its aggressive expansion into international markets.

6. Let's Connect: The Local Advantage

From Nørresundby to the Global Stage.

Since we are based in the same city, I would love the opportunity to drop by your headquarters for a brief, informal chat.

I know how fast MyDefence is moving, and I am confident that my hybrid background and my proven willingness to build the tools needed to get the job done can act as an accelerator for your team.
Best regards,
Amos R. Miller
